Hi there,
I've just installed a Sapphire 5770 1gb Vapor-X on my Win7 32-bit Dell-made PC, but for some reason it's not allowing me to use my monitor's max resolution of 1680*1050 at 60Hz.
It's sticking at 1440*900, although it will somehow let me go to 1600*1200 (which is useless on my monitor).
If I go into the native screen resolution and List All Modes then 1680*1050 does appear on there but only at 25hz, 29hz and 30hz - all of which are "interlaced"(??) - and none of which work on my PC.
My monitor's always been a little bit wayward (it's made by someone called Iolair, and their support is patchy to say the least!), but with my old 4850 card I could still at least get it displaying at 1680*1050 at 60hz.
I used to have to go into the Screen Resolution menu, click on Advanced Settings, then List All Modes and choose 1680*1050 @60hz from there, but with the hz's now being all messed up I can't do that any more.
Has anyone ever come across anything like this before and - more importantly - did they manage to fix it?
I've got the latest Catalyst drivers installed (12.9) and everything else is running smoothly. Processor is a Q6600
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
StuPC
