5770 System Crashing Issues

Hi all

just upgraded my machine with more ram and a new 5770...

Having problems with random crashes in games and constantly getting the following message: Display driver AMDKMDAP has stopped working .. blah blah..

I'm sure this must be a catalyst driver problem, any ideas or anyone had the same problem?

I had this problem, i read it was due to a windows update but cant see it myself, things improved when i pluged tbe dvi lead into the lower socket on the card but dont know why, if you google it you will find even nvidia cards with the same problem, i did find after a while it looked to have fixed its self, sorry none of this is much help but at least you know your not alone with this problem

What drivers are you using? Have you tried others?

I am not sure if its true or not but the myth goes like this. When you do any major upgrades as in adding new hardware do a reinstall of your windows. The reason i say myth is after a reinstall of windows everything always seems better but not sure if it will solve your problem but thats what i would do.
