Hi I am thinking of upgrading my 5770 graphics car (I have this one its the HIS version), to something better but I dont want anything to expensive £100-150 roughly. My system specs are below, also my motherboard supports crossfire so would it just be worth getting a second 5770 instead of getting another single card?

Any ideas?

thx

Processor- Intel i5 2500k OC @ 4.5Ghz

Mobo- Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3

power supply- Bequite 530W

Ram- Kingston Hyper X DD3 4gb

In games that work well with crossfire HD 5770 CF will perform on the level of a single HD 5870.

Looking at this comparison of the HD 5870 and GTX 560Ti these cards trade wins in different games. Therefore, so long as Crossfire works OK then a GTX 560Ti and HD 5770 CF will offer about the same average framerates in games.

However, the problem with a CF setup is that you are at the mercy of crossfire scaling, possible problems with microstutter and often lower minimum framerates than a comparable single-card setup. Hence why people are strongly recommended to go for a single powerful card instead of two relatively weak cards in CF/SLI.
