5770 - ?

The stock coolers are both noisy and inefficient.
My 4870 was running at 78 degrees idle with the stock cooler. Changing to a 3rd party HSF lowered the idle temps to 45 degrees idle.
 
As above, stock coolers are amazing, can't hear my 5850 at all, its amazingly quieter than this 4870 i had that it replaced.

Ah good to know.. I will buy the card and see how it fares in my HTPC. I was only considering a new HSF to eliminate any noise. I recently bought a Silverstone Nightjar and as such only have a single 800rpm Noctua venting from my antec fusion. The rest of the system is completely passive. I would like the system to game at 1080p, but do not want the extra noise.
 
Thanks to gig putting the pci-e slots so close by top card rapes the other card meaning it runs at 70% fan sound like harrier jump jet just to stay cool. Would put in the the other slot but i cant find any 10cm crossfire bridges for love nore money!:mad:
