5770CF or 5850?

im not sure on that but some one will tell you try asking on overclocking thread youll probably get answer quicker ther m8 hope this helps

You'll like the ASUS packaging, 3 year warranty is the superior, price would probably drop again soon, atm stands at £224.99

ASUS 5850 runs 21% at idle (really quiet) and rises to about 30% at full load (audible but still quiet). I suggest you download MSI Afterburner, overclock, and set your own fan profile to suit your ears.

Afterburner is far better than the Smartdoctor app ASUS supply for overclocking/overvolting. As a starting point, set voltage to 1.2v, core to 950Mhz and memory to 1175. These speeds should be easily achieved, and the card will be faster than a 5870.

found this on another thread hope it helps

Having the Sapphire 5770s myself, I can tell you they are nothing special, come in cheap packaging, and have also now been dumbed down with a shorter PCB that doesnt support software voltage adjustment, and had heavilly scratched bases on the stock coolers.

Compared to those, the Asus 5850 package, build quality, voltage adjustment and extra year of warranty are all far superior, and you will definitely be very happy with them:

I'd love to have a couple, but they are too expensive for me atm.

1.74v?? compared to 1.2 with almost the same oc. wow

i asked just because i don't know what asus offers when it comes to vgas. never had any. i never had ati either so sapphire and powercolor are new to me but heared/read/used both and doesn't seem bad at all.

(did a review of a powercolor 4850 and my gf has a PowerColor 5770. and my brother own a powercolor 3850AGP.) only my friend has a sapphire 5770 lol. you can see why i went to powercolor.

@bahvv: yes my gf got those crappy heatsinks like the club3D one. temps aren't bad though. same as the sapphire egg shaped. (~30*C idle)

1.274v sorry

I managed to get mine for £220 delivered (next day) , somewhere . . .

what benefit is 50mhz going to make?i mean in terms of real world performance not benchmarks. 1-2fps?

Actually its a 275 Mhz overclock in total on the 5850 which makes a huge difference and brings them up to 5870 performance. Just a 150 Mhz increase on my 5770 crossfire gives an extra 3000+ points in 3D mark Vantage, and makes Oblivion significantly smoother when maxed out with all my mods installed.
