5770vs6770

Isn't the 6770 just a rebadged 5770 (Same chip [Juniper XT], same core speed, same VRAM speed)? So there should be no difference between the two.

they improved the dx11 tessellation on the 6 series cards,on the 5 series it was poor, thats all i know is different, same for 5870/6870,5850/6850 ect

^ this had both cards an couldnt tell much difference, the only time i noticed a difference was when i x'fired the 5770's.
IMO id go for the cheaper of the 2 cards an x'fire them :)

But that was for the 6800/6900 series, the 6700 was just kept the same since it was doing so well as the best price/performance card back then.

They are the same card. I had a 5770 and when I got my friend a 6770 and ran benchmarks it performed exactly the same.

EDIT: Even in the heaven benchmark with tessellation.
