hi im looking at upgrading my gpu, would it be better to get a gtx 670 or 2 580 sli?
im stuck on what would be better btw it would be used for gamming mainly
any advice would be grately apriciated

If you are buying from scratch I would look towards a single card solution. If you have a 580 already then perhaps sli is more appealing, but if you are at 1080p, a single card is all that is needed and you save yourself any potential multi GPU related problems.

What resolution is your monitor/monitors?

sorry my budget is 300 for a water block and gpu so looking at about 70 ish for a waterblock
i have been offered 2 gtx 580 with waterblocks for my budget
my specs are not yet decided fully but will be along the lines of i5 3570k and asus maximus v gene/formula with 8/16megs of ram, i want 2/3 moniters but that will come at a later date
i have got corsair 800d, corsair 1050w psu and water cooling system
hope this helps

2*580 with waterblocks is a good buy. 1.5GB of ram could be a limiting factor but with some settings in certain games turned down, it would be a good investment. The struggle will come when you go multi monitor if you intend on gaming over the 3 screens. If you do, I would go for a 7950+waterblock and then add another further down the road. The 3GB will help :)
