Replaced 3700x with 5800x and now USB does not work (well 1-2 do but not the rest).

I updated my B550m bios to latest but no luck. Updated chipset drivers as well etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

What's your device manager look like, RE: USB stuff? Which ones work?

I assume you don't have legacy USB/CSM enabled, or anything like that?

If you remove all of the non-essential USB stuff, getting it down to mouse and keyboard, do those work in all of the USB ports?

I'm just wondering if the change to the 5800x might just be too much power wise, for the board. Easiest way to work it out is start with the minimum and troubleshoot from there IMO.

Is the mouse and keyboard not working too? Can you still access the BIOS? If you can, does the mouse and keyboard work fine there?

Sounds like you may have damaged the pins when replacing the CPU or when reattaching the cooler (less likely on an AM4 CPU but not outside the realms of possibility). Take the CPU our and check the pins are ok, you might also want to put you old CPU back in and see if USB's come back to life.
