Currently have a 5600x with a Cryorig H7, will be upgrading to a 5800x3d soon so is it worth getting a new cooler at the same time? If so any recommendations?

Have seen the Thermalright PA/PS recommended quite a bit but have read about RAM clearance issues.

RAM is Corsair Vengeance (non RGB).

You don't have to get a new cooler if you are happy with the temps and performance with your current cooler.

Otherwise, if you do want a new cooler, it depends on case aand RAM clearance as usual, but there's plenty of options for decent prices nowadays, not too much more than your existing cooler.

A lot of folks swear by the Thermalright Peerless Assassin and is generally considered much better than a Cryorig H7. Though recent reviews have shown that they have other models like the Phantom Spirit 120 SE or Frost Spirit 140 V3 that can do even better. These types of coolers can hold their own even against the top dogs in the air cooling space.

Of course, the big names like Noctua NH-D15 and BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro still exist, but of course with big names comes big prices. Speaking of BeQuiet, they recently released the Dark Rock Pro 5 and Dark Rock Elite. The Elite is better than the Pro 5, but the cheaper Thermalright coolers mentioned earlier can still thrash these.

Having mentioned NH-D15, which has been considered by most to be the top air cooler over the past decade, on some of the newer Ryzen there seems to be some issues with the default mounting position. There is an offset mount to buy which fixes these issues and brings it back to being on top, but otherwise one can get close with those cheaper Thermalright coolers.

I currently run the NH-D15 myself (though on an 8YO Intel build), but looking into a Thermalright for a new Ryzen build soon.

Pointless looking at anything other than Thermalright, unless aesthetics or super silence (Noctua) are your main priorities. Used so many of them now, and they are excellent value with top tier performance.

However is it worth replacing your cooler, I'd say first thing would be look at your negative offset and see where that gets you with temps. :)

I'm using a 10 year old Noctua NH-D15 which maxes at 82 degrees under full gaming load, so I expect the newer Noctua models are better
New version of the NH-D15 is due next year and is said to shave off ~3°C.

For the current version, the cost for the performance isn't as great as the Thermalright coolers. And at the moment it doesn't hold the air cooling crown like it did years back. But the new version next year should improve that for folks who just want the best air cooling regardless of price.

Yeah was looking at that and the Peerless Spirit but concerned about RAM clearance as I'll be using all 4 slots....

I've just swapped out a NH-D15 for a Phantom Spirit as I've moved everything into a Fractal North (The NH-D15 does fit but there's not much room for other things. Side fan bracket is right out.) No ram clearance issue, unlike with the NH-D15, and I'm getting near equal performance. Fans it comes with are surprisingly quiet with the load I put it under.

Thermalright are currently the best bang for buck, they also have a frost tower/commander versions and i believe these have the higher quality fans

Impressive temps for a 5800x3d, my 5600x on DH15 hits 71 (side case panel off), and 7800x3d on the same cooler hits 82+
