I am very new to overclocking, in my previous build I just let the Asus OC tuner thing go ahead and set whatever it wanted to set. But with this X99 build I went ahead and looked up how to do it myself as I read you can get lower voltages and ultimately temperatures that way.

First off some Specs:
CPU: Intel 5820k
RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR4 2400MHz
Mobo: Asus X99 Deluxe
Cooler: Corsair H110I GT
GPU: Asus GTX 980
PSU: Corsair AX760

After reading loads of Guides and forum posts I dived into the BIOS and set 4GHz at 1.1v and set the XMP Profile of my memory. I did 4 hours of testing using Asus Real bench stress test and all seemed to go ok. I am happy with this small bump for 24/7 use.

Here is a Link to some images of my BIOS screen and an image of HWMoinitor & CPU-Z

Reading around the forums the VID shouldn't be the voltage I should be looking at in HWMonitor, it should be CPU Vcore. But its my VID that changes to my set voltage whereas the CPU Vcore stays around 0.944. Am I reading it right?

Also is it ok to just leave everything else at auto? I've seen some guides where they mess with other voltages but ASUS seem to use different terminology and I didn't want to change the wrong things.

Also I read that to keep the voltage drop off when the system is idle i should switch the CPU Core voltage to 'adaptive mode' and enter my 1.1v setting into the 'Additional Turbo mode core voltage' box. Would this create issues for me with stability?

Sorry for the wall of text but I didn't want to half do a post and then keep coming back with little questions :).
