you dont have 2 hdmi ports , it is 1x hdmi and 1x displayport . yes it will work if you use a displayport monitor

as far as i know you have to use the displayport for the third monitor on the 5*** series of cards , you can get an adaptor or what ever it is called so a dvi monitor could work but not sure on the details

You need an ACTIVE display port adaptor. dont get that one thats linked. Goolgle them you can get them from a place thats named after a fruit. think there about £60 (was when i got them)

Does your 5830 have a full size or mini Display port connection?
If it is mini then you can use the relatively cheap active adapter that chaotic linked to above.
If its a full size Display Port connection then you can use the above adapter - but get a DP to mini-DP adapter or simply buy an active adapter that has a full size displayport connection. They used to be ~£60, but the price is much lower now - if you shop around you should find one for ~£20.
If your monitor is HDMI not DVI then use a cheap adapter like this - there will be no loss of quality as it is the same video signal just a different arrangement of the pins.
