5850 Artifacts

Hi,

I have had a Sapphire ATI 5850 since release and last week I started to see artifacts while in games and also white pixels on the desktop. I restarted but there were still artifacts in games. So far I have cleaned both the card, and dust filters from any dust, upgraded the motherboard bios and chipset, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, put the card in a different PCI-E slot and changed the power cables.

I have contacted both OC UK and Sapphire but I’ve heard nothing from OC and what Sapphire told me to I had already done (upgrade drivers etc…) and now they told me to contact the reseller.

I am now using my old 8800GT and it works fine, and my power supply is a Corsair HX750W.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Quick question...you left it at stock speed since you bought it or have you overclocked it?

Yes I left everything at stock speed, no overclocking.

Well, don't think there's really anything you can do except waiting for OC to get back to you then...
