My friend's Sapphire Radeon HD5850 has been causing him bother for the past few months, in that it isn't working.
No display on the screen, so perhaps no output from the graphics card. He has tried different driver releases by my suggestion. I tried it out in my PC to see if it was just his graphics card or something else in his system, and it gave the same problem (my 5770 is working fine).
Looking at the 5850, it looks tidy, nothing seems damaged, he's only left it in his PC since I put the parts into the case, and it's been just over two years since he got it, so I think it's just out of warranty.
Is it bust, requiring replacement? Or perhaps there is a delightful lifesaver here that can help a brother out. Thanks.
