5850, certain textures flickering

Hi all

Just installed a 5850 I bought off mm. Loaded up BC2 and it is fine for the most part, just certain textures flicker (some of the sandy maps when viewing the tank from outside for instance). Is this likely to be drivers? Also any recommendations for settings to run with my pc in sig, at 1440x900? Would it be worthwhile doing a fresh install of windows 7 as my old card was nvidia?

Friend had same problem after going from nvidia to ati and did a fresh format and it fixed it

Try different settings in the CCC panel or other drivers ?

In BC2 start a game drop to options select another res quckly drop back to game then out to options and back to your normal res

bit of an arse on but works for me in BC2

I would normally always perform a clean windows install when upgrading to a different graphics card.

Try benchmark the card with heaven.

It's a shame some poorly written installation apps make this necessary some times, especially as a complete re-install isn't a good option if it takes days to re-install all the required software
