Guys,

I use CCC and clock my 5850 to 775 & 1125 respectively. However i see NO difference in FPS whatsoever.

Am i doing something wrong?

I ran at near 1ghz on the core and that really did show a difference! Yours is such a tiny OC tbh I doubt you really would.

Assuming that you're not bottlenecked by CPU, overclocking GPU on the 5850 gains almost linear performance up to 850-900 MHz where it almost matches performance of a stock 5870. After that sweetspot the overclocking gains are lower, you can easily check it using any newer 3D Mark (Vantage/11) or Unigine Heaven and game benchmarks.

Memory modules on reference cards are mostly the same on 5850s and 5870s so they usually hit the same overclocking mark of 1200-1300 MHz. Make sure that you compare the max stable memory overclock with something below it, memory will throttle back when reaching its limits.
