5850 crash, no post

Was playing CSS then system locked up screen went blank with looping sounds, hit the restart now I get no post, when I turn it on the fan just spins up at full speed and nothing happens. The card is only a few weeks old having just received it as a replacment for a faulty card that was posting but no display (could hear windows booting) Send it back or maybe something else to fault?

Do you have another machine it can be tested in?

You could try clearing the CMOS just in case. Are you overclocked at all?

Done no overclocking, I tried an old Gefore 7950gt and that works then when I put the radeon back in I get 8 beeps I think, I have opened a new RMA

Yeah, go for the rma, it sounds like a dud card if there is no overclock that could be interfering.

The card was found to be faulty and I am still awaiting a replacement, It took a month last time, it's been since the 1st that sapphire received my card pretty ****ed off that it is taking this long, I will not be buying another product from them.
