So I think my graphics card has died as it will not display anything. Fans still spin however which is odd. Fitted my old 4850 and that managed to display so that leaves me to believe the 5850 is dead. Only got it around 2 years ago though which doesn't seem like a very long life. Any thoughts? It is an MSI 5850 Twin Frozr II bought from ocuk.

Well, the MSI 5850 Twin FrozR II was around the time (slightly before actually) that MSI was changing their warranty for their products from 2 years to 3 years. Although it would be the card would be out of the 2 years warranty by now, may be it could still try to contact MSI and see if you can rma it. And if they say the card is out of warranty, and try saying "I thought MSI had 3 years warranty" and see it you can get anywhere with that :p

Might get lucky and get replaced with a 7850 1GB...which would be a free upgrade that I wouldn't complain about ;) If they are agreed to accept your rma, dont settle for a 7770 though...making it clear that the 7770 is an inferior/slower card comparing to the 5850.

This.

Don't ocuk deal with the full term of msi warranties? Could be as easy as posting in cs :)
They do? Didn't realise that. But it would probably depend on if that 5850 get the warranty extended from 2 years to 3 years or not...so OP might still have to contact MSI himself.
