5850 OC

Just got a 5850 XXX after weeks of waiting and i'd like to have a go at overclocking it a bit ... I dont want to flash it with ASUS BIOS yet so was wondering what methods or apps I could use to OC it?

Is the built in ATI Overdrive any good for OC'n?

you can use amd gpu clock tool but it messes up the power states

when u are finished with the other methods, try flashing with the newest ATI HD5870 BIOS - it's been the best one that I've tried on my HD5850. It defaults to 850/1200 at 1.17V, so just make sure that you can run at those settings stable before you flash. Or not, and just flash back if there are issues.
