hi

sometimes when i get in to windows the whole screen goes yellow or green or white or black, then after about 50 seconds it comes back saying driver not responding and the right side of the screen goes wierd then comes back to normal. its also does this sometimes when watching tv or doing something on the desktop.

using 9.11 drivers but does the same with other drivers

also another thing is since i've had the card i've been hearing a buzzing sound friom it sometimes..

has anyone had this?

Get the odd buz from my 5870, does not bother me, all I can suggest is the same old rhetoric.

Run default clocks if your overclocking

Try different drivers

Disable any OC software

Mmm, sound like software/driver conflict somewhere, I take its W7, all I can suggest is an OS reinstall, drastic I know but if you cant pinpoint the problem, then you need to take drastic measures.

yeah it's windows 7.

it'll reinstall it tomorrow and see what happens.

i am just bit worryed that if i have to RMA it back maybe they won't see it happen. so i'm thinking of waiting to see if it gets worse or die's then rma it?

If it does it after a fresh install with no other software but the essentials installed then RMA the sucker, I wouldn't put up with it.

I had similar problem with my 3870 x2.

Driver kept crashing, with same error message driver not responding,
Same problem when installing.

I had to downclock my ram speed, it went up as i clocked cpu.
If you have any overclock check your ram, and adjust.

It did sort my problem
