Hi. Yesterday i got the VX2268VM and it's great, loving 120HZ.. Though i'd love it even more if i could use it with 800x600 since i'm a CS player.

I have tried:

- using Powerstrip, though it doesn't work on the 58xx series
- using a costum .inf file for my monitor with no sucess. http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/103/80345989.png
- using an old program called "ati refresh fix" and adding a costum res

Whatever i do, i can't get it to work. And for you who wonder:
- Yes, you can use 120hz in other resolutions then the native one.
- Yes, i'm using the latest drivers.
- Yes, i'm using a Dual DVI connector.

I can surely live with that high of a res, but i'd prefere not to.
- Will ATI be adding an option to create a custom res in the next driver?
- Is there any way you know of that can fix this with the 5850?

Thanks for any reply's! / Snooc

Your lucky to even get 120hz @ native res..its more than i could do with ATI drivers when i had the 5870 but then i was trying on a CRT.

People are playing with 120hz at lower-res though, so i know it works. I didn't buy a monitor for 3k to have one res..

Do they have nvidia graphics cards though?I'm just suggesting that this is ATi's fault, not viewsonics.

I think it goes both ways, People with ATI have been using the .inf file to get around the hz issue, while nvidia users simply can create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel..

So basically, I blame both companies!

You paid 3k?
Forgot to mention I'm swedish, so that's about 300 pounds.
