5870 2nd hand ?

What should I be paying for a 2nd hand 5870 off a m8

He's having problems getting it to run stable in his system, I said i'd have a look at it in mine and try it out, had it running for a week and had no problems, told him what i'd done and he took it back and tried it again. he had no luck and asked me if i wanted to buy it..

I'm on a gtx275 amped at the minute, was going to buy a new card in time for BF3 but this might do the job if the money is right.

How much you reckon it's worth ?

130 ish seems to be the going rate.

He's just said it must be worth half of going rate and a bit off for being his m8.

Seen them for avg 150 new 100 on bay

Logic and cheek says 150 ~ 2 = 75 - 10 mates rate = £65

Going rate is £135, But new is £150 with 2 year warranty, Being that you are buying from a friend I would say £100 is a very fair price. Great performance for that price.

I got two for £135 each and this seems to be the price going on ebay at the moment,for the past few weeks anyway

If you read it he offered that deal, I'm not going to knock it if he's happy, this will be the 3rd card i've bought off him including the 275 I have in atm, he buys more graphics cards than any sane man should

I did offer to go round and try and sort it for him at his gaff but he's had enough of it it seems .. back on topic --

He just txt me back, I can have it for £65 and pick it up Sunday, nice hours work on a sunny day, sure beats getting an Easter egg.

bargain at £65, to be honest its a bargain under £90

If the cards in good condition, Id say a fair rate £100, £65 is too cheap!

I'd agree with you usualy but this sun seems to have affected my i'm going to give him more than he asked for thought process

Thinking of fitting an Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Cooler Fan Heat Sink to this card in place of the stock one, Read a few good reviews about them and @ only £23 it seems a good bargain for its performance..
