5870 are all cards the same?

If looking past a manufactures name are all 5870 the same card beneath. Is it just mainly packaging and such that makes them different. Or is it deeper than that within the BIOS chips. Can all cards be flashed with a different BIOS if clocking?

Also is it the just cooling that is different? If so why the differences in price and why would others consider the Sapphire better than the Gigabyte for example? It seems I cant find a reveiw of the Gigabyte model.

Warranty and software bundles may vary. Apart from that they should be the same. As far as I know there are no custom cooling solutions out yet.

Hardware is identical just different BIOS's, some such as Asus has unlocked BIOS but others can be flashed easily.

The reason I asked I purchased an EK block today I am not worried about the cooling otherwise I just want to know if the card is the same underneath because I cant find stock of the Sapphire card. Has anyone flashed a Gigabyte card and had any troubles that you know of?

They're all reference based at the moment I think, so should be physically identical.

Thankyou guys that what I thought, but wasnt sure does anyone know about the warranty apart from XFX from each manufacture? Nevermind checked specs found out warranty situation thanks.
