.
so ive just sold my 295 and a 5870 is on the cards but which one is best for me.
are there any other advantages other than the clocks on a pre oc'd card like the xfx xxx compared to the standard xfx.
are xfx any good ?

I'm holding out for restock of Sapphire's Vapor-X edition - lower noise/temps for a reasonable price premium.

At this rate though Fermi will paper launch first!

The cheapest with the best bundle as they are all the same.

I went for the Powercolor as it came with Dirt2, and the nasty sticker was small and easy to remove.

Planning to overclock? If so, get an Asus or an MSI and save yourself the worry of having to flash the bios and invalidate your warranty. If not, get a Sapphire Vapor-X if you're concerned about noise/temperatures (even thought it's a quiet/cool card). If neither - just get the cheapest as Deadman suggests.
