5870 CF V 590

Is it worth the upgrade as i can get a 590 discounted, i appreciate a 6990 is better but im asking about the 590 really, is it much faster?

it depends on what you want tbh , would you sooner stay with ati/amd or try something new from the green team ? . if your not into overclocking the gfx card then go for it if you fancy a change , but tbh i do not think there will be much differance

I'd hazard a guess that the 590 is about 15-25% faster than two 5870s. For much of the time it sits slap bang in the middle between a single 580 and dual 580s, and dual 5870s are about 15-20% faster than a single 580.

How cheap can you get the 590?

About 190 but it obv has more on board ram and i run at 2560x1600 so it might be better as my 5870's are just the 1 gig versions.
