Bit of a weird one, reinstalling win 7 x64 and I lose video signal when I install the ati drivers, anyone else experienced this?

Can u load windows in the reduced video mode with the drivers installed?

Yes I can and I'm working on this at the moment. As soon as I raise the resolution it goes into no signal / sleep mode. Checked refresh rates too, no different.
So is it a monitor issue or a graphics card issue.
May have to lug the heavy thing down to an HDMI feed.
Totally weird one. Monitor works fine on my laptop, graphics card works ok on another monitor.
Plug the monitor into the DVI port with my TV and then neither work.
So I'm thinking it's the graphics card gone duff. What's the warranty period on a Saphire HD5870?
Maybe it's time for a total system change to something new etc..
