Hi, is there any way at all of stopping my 5870 going into low power mode. I cant even get a constant 125 fps in cod4 without keep getting fps lag cos the card keeps switching back and fourth between low and high power. never mind the 250 fps i'd like.

I know nvidia has an option in the profile setup pages

took this just after i'd finished playing.

Shouldn't really have to flash my bios  . I've had nvidia card for the last 7 years without one problem, get one ati and i cant even play a three year old game on lowest settings at 125fps.

I bought a high powered card because i want to run it at high power, aaaargh, Think i'll probly sell up. :(

Think i'm using 10.2, dont have any problems with gfx intensive games like crysis and stuff. just CoD4, which i play promod and run with everything at low settings.

All i ask is a little tick box in the control centre to dissable it :(

Lets have a look at this bios thing then ;)

EDIT: problem solved, if i overclock it by 1mhz and click apply it locks it to that speed.

Stupid ati, stupid me. :p
