Ok here goes.
In the past I'v thought about overclocking my 5870, but having had a bad experience with my previous card (3870x2) I thought, better safe than sorry and just leave the 5870 alone, rather than start messing around with clock speeds etc....
However....... Im sure its made extremely easy in the ccc.
If I use the auto tune function in the ccc, it will overclock my 5870 gently....
However is this a click and forget scenario, as in if I use the ccc to overclock the card, will the clocks be set automatically when launching a 3d game?
The bad experience I refer to with my 3870x2, was after overclocking the card using the ccc, the card, lost the ability to do 60hz refresh and got stuck at 59hz......
I will pull my hair out if I try playing with my 5870 only to find, I'v screwed something up!
Also using the ccc to overclock:
1. Is it worth it?
2. What % boost are we talking about here on average?
