Hi Guys.

Iv had my new 5870 for just under 2 months now. Havent really seen the need to overclock it.

However, as Im settled on my cpu overclock, I can start turning my attention to overclocking my gpu.

My card is: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-231-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752 (not at that price mind you)

As all cpu's all clock differently, is it the same with gpu's?

Is it easy to overclock the 5870?

Whats the most noob proof way to do it? Any pointer with volts to stay under etc?

I found this: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2010/09/15/how-to-overclock-your-graphics-card/3

It makes it looks like there are huge gains to be had from overclocking the gpu?

If you read the article that you linked to and follow the guide you will have a pretty good and safe experience with your GPU overclocking.

Yes all GPU's clock differently in much the same way that each CPU is unique.
It is easy to overclock a 5870 graphic card using the utilities that are available yes.
In most cases there is no need to change the voltages of your graphic card. Especially if you are air cooling your card.
