5870 whistle help

Ok got my new Sapphire HD5870 installed last night, but it whistles, not fan noise but whistles
I assume this is not normal any advise would be appreciated

Yeah its a common thing capacitor whine, I had it bad with my 260 and a Tagan PSU, I recently updated my PSU to a corsair HX750 and the whine was barely noticeable with the 260, now have a 5870 and it makes no buzz/whistle noise at all.

It's likely capacitor squeal caused by the card running at a stupidly high framerate.

Does it happen on loading screens for games and when scrolling in a web browser?

If you have a "gaming" mouse then try lowering the polling rate from 1000 to a lower figure, this should stop it during desktop use.

Found the problem and is all fixed
Cause of problem was that i did not use 2 pci-e power connectors,the instructions where not very clear

alls well it is now running perfect
