i would not bother. the 5870 will be reduced to a 5770 
I believe you can only crossfire GPU's from the same family. Meaning the first two numbers of the paired GPU must match, e.g. 5870 can go with a 5870 or 5850 or 5830.
But as said above it always best to match it like for like (if you can afford it).
