I currently have an ASUS EAH5870 bought from new, only had it 9 months.

but i find it doesn't run crysis 2 on the higher band settings, etc.

Is the 5870 an outdated card? or is crysis 2 just a demanding game? (e.g. needs at least an SLI system)

thanks :)

i had 5870 cf then switched gtx480 sli,5870 is still a great card and will max out most game, crisis 2 with the d11 upgrade really needs cf or sli, even my 2xgtx480 struggle with crisis,if you want more power buy another 5870,great setup, try the mm as ive seen them sell for £90 on there

Thanks, I do have the DX11 patch running! i'm tempted to get another 5870 but my board's second PCI-E port only runs at 4X! :(

Crysis 2 with the dx11 patch is known to run excessive tessellation. You can manual reduce/adjust the tesselation level by going into ccc, make sure you are in advanced view under preference->Gaming->3D application settings, and then under tessellation, make sure the "use application settings" and the "AMD optimised" boxes are unchecked, and then manually lower the tessellation level to lower and apply.
