5870CF upgrade

Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading my graphics card setup to single card. I currently have 2x 5870 in crossfire and am thinking of heading to nVidia.

Can I get some advice please on the best nVidia card for a reasonable amount of cash that would be a decent upgrade also.

What cpu / overclock do you have? Also, what resolution please?

Though, seeing as you've been running two cards, it's quite possible that something slower than the above will still give you a nice boost for minimum, average and smoother frame rates. It's not all about maximum fps.

I have a i5 2500k. 1080p res. Budget not too limited to be honest. But want to keep it reasonable and not £1K

If it helps i upgraded from highly overclocked 6870s in CF to a Gigabyte 7970 Ghz Edition and i'm very impressed so far.
The biggest benefit so far has been the amount of Vram, but i'm unsure on how much this will effect you as i have no idea how much MMOs use.
I did notice a big difference in Fps too though with minimum, average and max all increasing.
