Hello,
Got my new laptop on saturday, woohoo!
Installed the drivers from the CD no problem (MSI), and noticed they were 10.1 drivers! Obviouslly wanting to update these I downloaded the ones from the ATI website. The card works fine with 10.1's, but obviouslly any performance increase through new drivers is something I'd want!
Upon installation, they do not pick up the card, have tried 10.12/10.11, and 10.12's from the guru3d website, when it asks you what components you want to install it doesn't even give me the option of 'ATI Display Driver', it just has 'ATI Install Manager' which is weird.
Am i missing something? OR could the card be dud?
Downloaded drivers (10.12);http://img88.imageshack.us/i/installation.png/ < no Display drivers appearing (happens on multiple drivers)
MSI Disc drivers (10.1); http://img220.imageshack.us/i/installationmsi.png/ < DIsplays drivers appearing
Laptop is a GX660R, have looked far and wide for this laptop with this issue, even posted on the MSI website to absolutely no avail, so I figure it may be a card specific issue as opposed to the laptop as a whole.
Much appreciated,
TommyV
