5870s

Hi I am wondering if the new 5870s are multi gpu cards like the 4870 x2 and nvidia gtx 295s

As i heard they are the replacement for the the 4870 x2, but i cant find anything out to say that they are.

I use 2 x 4850s on crossfire at moment, and was thinking going dual gpu route next time as i dont think much to crossfire.

The 5870 series currently are Single GPU models...

5870 is single GPU but trades blows with both GTX295 and 4870x2 5870x2 in time for Christmas (see its on its way thread for pic)

Dual GPU's are the same, Crossfire (or SLi if you go Nvidia).

It could be seen as a replacement to the 4870x2, as there is no point in them now, seen as they now have a single card as fast, probably why they EOL'd it.
