Hi all,
Having built intel systems for some time I realise now how completely out the loop I am with regards to setting up a modern AMD system.
My 5900x is due around 20th November. I'm pairing 2x16GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 16-19-19-39 memory with it and using a Gigabyte B550 Vision D motherboard.
I am not too worried about all core overclocking the CPU and happy to let it run stock and boost itself, is it just a case of install everything, enable XMP settings on the RAM at 1.35v and jobs a good 'un?
Will the FCLK already be set at 1800 at stock or is that something that needs adjusting?
Any other bios tips for optimal performance would be greatly appreciated or if anyone knows of any good guides out there!
Cheers!
