5900x stuck at base clock in games

When running cinebench it'll boost up but when playing games it'll stick to 3.7

Any reason for this?

Motherboard is a Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero on the latest bios (2702).

Have you used ryzen master? To overclock it safely?

Just PBO, had no plans to do any overclocking and shouldn't have to to get it to boost up in games.

Have you got voltage set to auto or AMD overclock? PBO wont work at all if you use manual or offset voltage, I believe their going to fix this in a upcoming bios.

I've tried auto volts and manually setting it to 1.3 both the same result.

The kitguru review of the 5800x that used a crosshair viii said patch c had some bugs and sticking to patch b was preferable for now. BIOS 2311 might be worth trying as it's Patch B.
