5900x temps

Hi all - long time lurker here - hope this is ok to post here if not apologies

I am lucky enough to have taken delivery of a 5900x PC today and as its my first AMD setup I have a few questions.

CPU Temps...

Ryzen Master reports a single temperature.

I have installed Corsair Link and that shows wildly differing temps per thread but notably 1 particular core is reported as 83c at idle and 2 at about 56c ..... should I trust that and assume something is wrong or might it just be the app not working nicely with Ryzen 5000 yet ?

I have not oc'd anything its straight out of the box and whilst gaming the CPU fluctuates heavily between approx 3000-4500mhz.. its already a very noticeable performance improvement with my 2080TI compared to my 6700k at stock (I would say approx 40% fps).

Ryzen Master reports ambient around 40-45c and gaming between 55-65c

Im guessing ambient is quite high but the gaming temps seem really good - but Im also guessing its because the CPU isnt running at full clock the whole time.... my old 6700k was set to a constant 4200mhz - is that a thing with AMD or not recommended ?

This is all in a Meshify S2 with default fans front and back and a Corsair H150i pushing air out of the top.

Anyhow if anyone has any words of wisdom Id be very grateful if I should worry or not.

Corsair link is a very old software. It’s readings are all wrong.

Use ryzen master for temps or hwinfo

i have the dark rock pro 4 and was using the gigabyte siv app.
it reported that the cpu was idling at 33c but ryzen master says 47c, but then the siv doesnt even fully know the spec of my cpu so.

I've got idle at 35-40, and gaming load at 60-75. Small case and low noise case fans though, so don't take my temps as 'good'. CPU runs fine though, no complaints.

my 3900x idles @ 30c and under full whack of AIDA or OCCT (>150w) it is 68c under current condition; push pull on the radiator (H100i first gen) front mountedl

i dont imagine 5900x is different in terms of thermal characteristics

Well still idle around 42c.

3440x1440 with 2080ti...

FS2020 flying over Manhatten with Ultra settings 55-65c.
ACC Ultra settings around 55c - gfx card solid 98% usage plus...cores sitting solidly around 4.6k mostly with maxes of 4.94k
PC is quiet too.

Those temps are from Ryzen Master.

Using HWiNFO64 it reported a max of 69.4c (on CPU (Tctl/Tdie) but there is another row under the CPU that readys 75.5c for CPU CCD1 (Tdie1) - you probably guessed I have no clue what those relate to except something with the CPU .

So far so good imo !

EDIT: mmm Under the Motherboard section theres a line for Temp5 that has Maximum up to 90c.... I really dont know what that is for - again Ryzen Master is not reporting anything like that high.
