Hi all

recently been having PC post issues, which now appears to be RAM related.

Was
32GB team group elite 2400mhz - stopped detecting 16GB+ & weird oddness in bootup

Now
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666mhz

since then the PC has been rock solid

Now before i start this PC was not overclocked & i don't want to.

However due to the 2666mhz ram my BCLK went to 125
my ASUS WS-E put on CPU voltage of v1.2 Constant! (was 1.1888 at 100% load)
running at 100% CPU hit 75C which i was not happy with.
running a pancaker cooler - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/noctua-nh-c14-top-flow-low-profile-cpu-cooler-hs-014-nc.html

So i manually set a voltage to the CPU:
1.175
cache of 1.175

which is stable so far Temps are now 67C at 100%

just wondered how low other people are using voltage at on a 5930K & am i likely to get lower stable at stock Frequency (3750MHz)

You should get lower voltage at stock for sure. Probably around 1.0v to be honest.

For comparison mine is running 24/7, 4.5ghz at 1.25v

I'd invest in a bigger cooler if you plan to overclock. If you don't then 75c is plenty fine at stock.

If your worried, I'd just ensure good contact with the IHS and some quality paste. As the low profile noctua cooler you have, should be doing better at stock speeds.

I'll clocked mine to 4.25 and just left everything auto. Looks like 1.24 core and 1.19 cache. Running at 38c (watercooled)
