Good afternoon, I've recently purchased a 5960k, gigabyte x99 Ud4, 16gb of team dark 3000mhz ram it's currently in a watercooled loop just for the CPU.

After hours on prime my hottest core was 55 degrees so I'm deciding to overclock it nothing major but I was wondering if you had the rough settings for me 8 pack just to get to say 4.2 if something higher is easily achievable that'd be great.

Any sort of input would be fantastic.

For 3000mhz enable XMP.

125 strap x 34 Core multi = 4250mhz Cache multi 24, VCCIN 1.9v SA+0.25v Vcore 1.25v Vcache / ring 1.25. Test!!

For this OC it should be very easy and basic.

Test using XTU stress test if you want to use synthetic stuff. Intel recommend this themselves.

When I tried to enable XMP 3000mhz it fails to boot. I'll try these settings now :)

Uploading the pictures now as I can't see it to save my life :P

there's a classic view but if you press F2 twice you go into another bios menu :P

Silent or 8 pack I can't seem to find those settings any ideas? I did link you to my photobucket which shows you exactly what I see when I'm in the bios.

Could you edit the pics for me highlighting what I need to change that would be fantastic also they'll be a thank you after ;) (PayPal)

Eventually tried all of settings 8 Pack.

Unfortunately at 34 multiplier it wouldn't even boot.

So I lowered it to 32 which booted into windows fine however under load it crashed pretty quickly?

Wondering if my board/cpu are just duds ?
