Hi Guys, so I followed a brilliant guide to overclock my 5960x to 4.5ghz, I am using 1.3v and the temps are really good, I haven't tried lowering the volts yet but I may do. This is the guide which I copied exactly http://www.tweaktown.com/guides/675...-spec-qfra-cpu-overclocking-guide/index4.html
Now the problem I was having was getting a stable overclock with my memory running at XMP 2666, I have had to lower my memory to 21.33 multi to make it stable at 4.5ghz. Going off that guide, what would I need to change to give me a chance of having my memory stable with XMP? As it stands it doesn't boot at 4.4 / 4.5 with those settings. I understand that there is hardly any difference between 2133 and 2666, but thought I would see if anyone had a clue if I have missed something.
This overclock is 24hour aida64 stable with a max temp of 78 during that stress time and about 4 weeks gaming with no issues. When gaming the temps are excellent.
Thank You.
