Hey guys,

Quick question, I have just got the Vive Pro wireless and haven't used it yet, waiting till I move next week for more space. Just wondering if my 5960x will run it well enough with the specs below? Or should I upgrade the cpu, it's a few years on now from purchase, thanks.

easily, just OC man, Honestly crazy that people think 8 core haswell which has almost the same ipc as skylake is useless! lol, OC that thing and enjoy

It is overclocked to 4.2 or 4.3 mate, not sure which it's been a while. Thanks for the advice.

It'll be fine, depending on your gpu that might be a place to look upgrade wise, try the vive first then decide

At 4.2, that cpu will be totally fine. My 3930k at 4.2 works fine for a Vive. The Vega56 is the only concern for me for VR

Same cpu. Runs everything sweet at stock. GPU is sweet as well.
