Hi Guys, :)
I've tried overclocking my Sapphire 5970 thru CCC. I managed to get to 825mhz and 4400mhz for memory with a temp of 71 and Fan at 100%. Did some Heaven bench marking all settings to max with no probs ran it for something like 35-40 mins (ok I know my set up bottlenecks the card). I was just wondering how accurate is CCC ? am I actually gonna blow the card up ? or can it take the overclocking ? and is 71 temp reading correct ?. I pretty much thought 5970's were harder to overclock so high.

Yeah i've tried 825/4400 at 75% fan speed and i'm have temp reading of 62 degrees now. I'm now using a Haf 922 from previous Akasa mirage-62. Afterbuner work well with Sapphire 5970 ?

I suppose it depends on the res you're playing on.

I'd have thought anything apart from tri monitor setup , the 5970 would eat for breakfast and want more

When i was on stock cooler i had 920/1200 24/7 fan about 60/70% That was with CCC and the overvolt @1.1625 and 1.15. Think the temps were about 80/90c

Water cooled 24/7 960/1250

Its prob going to be best if you use MSI with that, will allow you to set the Voltage giving you a better OC.
