5970 more issues possible fixes ??

Well from past posts i have had issues with this card for a wile now and a new issue has just cropped up.

the issues i had before where

Fan noise clicking sounds. (bearable issue cant be fixed)
99% gpu bug on desktop constantly (10.10e fixes this) any driver after breaks it.
freezing in games : this issue can be fixed by turning up the fan though = making more noise.
2d display corruption = happens sometimes and requires reboot to fix.

now i have run into 2 new issues today

My cards Temps have gone way to high 60c/65c on desktop without even gaming and if i feel the card its scolding hot seems the heat is coming from the back end of the card not the front backplate is burning hot.
and if i start a game up and play it for instance shift II or Crysis 2 when i exit the game i get a black screen and have to hard reboot cant seem to shut down to desktop

also if i change displays on the display port for instance on desktop if i unplug the display port and plug it back in i get a black screen again and have to force reboot.

this card is annoying to say the least.

EDIT wont be any screenshots as they all came out crap lol
due to all these issues i have pulled the card out of my system and im currently using my old trusty backup 8800GTS 320....
Do any of you guys know how to fix any of these issues..

The fan noise is enough to RMA IIRC.
It's probably just that the bearing has gone in the fan.
If you RMA the card, it will be hard to say that the card is fine with so many problems.
I presume the card still has some warranty?

Yes the card has warantee im already speaking to manager and he is hopefull that i might get 2x xfx 6950 2gb cards in return for it. (seems xfx have broken there own terms of service with these xfx 5970 black edition cards as they dont make them anymore)

Man I really feel for you. To be honest, it is not the first time I hear people got problems with their XFX 5970 BE

I seriously doubt they would replace your card with two 6950...most likely they would just offer you 6970 in return or some undervalued cash or store credit refund in return...but I hope you get lucky, unlikely as it may.

I seriously doubt they would replace your card with two 6950...most likely they would just offer you 6970 in return or some undervalued cash or store credit refund in return...but I hope you get lucky, unlikely as it may.

according xx they are trying to get credited from xfx then they will replace me with 2x xfx 6950s 2gb cards, hopefully xfx doesnt do the dirty as they are the ones that are completely in the wrong.

dont want to go into to much detail on the forums ect as this thread was to try and fix the issues im having at the minute

but i dont think its possible just to meny problems. though i will update you all with the final outcome.
