Guys

This is my question.

While overclocking my 5970 i reach core speeds fine ie 900
At this speed everything runs nice

I can Over clock memory to 1050 ands till all is fine.

But if i push memory to 1100 or sometimes just over my pc completly turns off as if i just pushed restart ( powers down instant then restarts )

My thinking was maybe memory doesnt like being oc , But this being the case wouldnt it just freeze or get artifact 1st. (Please correct me if im wrong and it does shut down if emory fails)

So im thinking maybe a power problem.

So does anyone know if this sound like a power problem and raising the clocks just that little bit more tips it over the top.

Im using a good psu
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-132-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

But im wondering if it has a fault. but i just cant put my finger on it.

Voltages core 1.1625 / Mem 1.15

Any ideas

Im running
i7 930 @3.8 (H50 Cooler)
6gb ocz reaper
2x intel ssd Raid 0
2x H/D Raid 0
1x dvd
6 x case fans
5970

Thx in advance and if any more info is needed just say

Could be your pushing it too far. What happens with the memory in between 1050-1100?

The vRam on the 5970 doesn't clock very well on most cards.

its ok but with random shut downs between 1050 -1100

But its stable at 900 core / 1050 vram so ill leave it there i think. must just be vram not liking the oc.

Thx for reply matey
