This. You may also want to consider tri fire 5850's that are on deal ATM.
Or two GTX 480 SOC's.

It depends on how much your paying for the 5970. On paper and assuming there's no alternatives a 5970 would be a sizeable upgrade over tri-fire 4870's but 2x HD6950's are going to set you back £400 so bear that in mind when your about to fork out for the 5970.

Worth it for £250. You can sell the Tri-Fire setup to fund for most of the new 5970
