Yeah i was shocked too.
When you look at the trees & stuff in the distance it it really stands out.
But saying that everything looks better.

Mmmm...would like to see if this is a driver aa improvement. If it is, more fps+ more detail = happy user, I hope its enabled for all games. Ofc, if its due to other factors, and you have to **** around with drivers, i wont be so happy ^^

On the other hand, all those people with x1950 cards will be happy to finally see a decent driver update that supports thier card :)

I don't get it, it says to add it into the registry, but have you seen how many keys there is, do you have to enter it into all of em, or a certain one, as all those keys have all those settings in for Triple Buffering etc... or when you install these doe's it add that EATM into the registry, then all you have to do is find it and change it to a 1 to enable it as its set to 0 disabled.

Some guy on that thread said you need to add it to the main registry key, and he says he found it by the ASTT_DEF command being lower than all the rest of them, so thats the main one you need to add the key to, the one where that setting is lower, but ive got about 6x keys where that command is 24 lines down, and the rest of em its only 13x, so that can't be right as theres more than 1x key where that command is lower.

These coming out this next month? Shouldnt they be called Catalyst 7? From those screen shots it looks like a decent driver.

Nope, 7 is January, 6.12's is Decembers, the 12 being the 12th Month. :)

They normally appear around the first week of every month, so maybe next week sometime for these officially, the 6.10's were way late, but the 6.11's were about on time as they appeared about a week after the 6.10's, so hopefully thay are back on track. :D

EDIT: Right i think ive narrowed the key down, as looking at someones screenshot of where it is, they have the key open thats got the WDM Configurations in it, and also the Volatile Settings in it, and ive checked mine, and ive got a few with the WDM Configurations, but ive only got 1x key thats got the Configurations, as well as the Volatile Settings in it, so ill give it a try tomorrow as im on night shift at work so ill be going out soon. :)

I installed these last night but couldn't get it working despite using the ATI tool method. I checked the registry to see if the relevant entry had been added (and it had) but instead of being in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet001\Control\Video

It was found in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet002\Control\Video

along with all the other entries, and ControlSet001 was virtually empty.
Now I've had issues with AA before when I tried to use the chuck patch on Oblivion. I found that AA wasn't being applied, and the same is happening in WoW. Nothing is being anti aliased.

Anyone got a clue as to why my drivers are installed in to the ControlSet002 registry key where as everyone else's are installed into ControlSet001?

Personally I only upgrade the driver every 5 or 6 months, unless there is a fix that I can make use of in the latest drivers. I went from 6.3 to 6.9 and that's where I'm at now.

Never run the 1st driver of the year, it's been developed during the holiday period while everyones mind is on other things. :D

Quality drivers, every game ive played feels a lot smoother, specifically dark messiah with high AA and AF on
