6 cell and 9 cell

50%. It pretty much is really that simple. :)

As for price difference, it would depend, what laptop? £50 seems more expensive than what I would expect for the upgrade, more like £30 maybe?

For reference I use a Dell XPS 1330 with a 9 cell battery and even though it sticks out a little i'm so glad I got it over a 6 cell battery. It gave/gives me a 7 hour battery life if I turn wifi off and can easily watch two AVI films back to back without plugging it in.

I have a tiny Asus Eee with a 9 cell battery - gives me 10½ hours of webbrowsing or document editing - i dont even bother bringing the charger unless ill be gone for more than a day.
Definately worth the price for me!
But yea, 50£ sounds like a lot :o

Don't know if it will make a difference. It depends how much the 5650 draws from the batteries. according to this, the TDP is 60 watts. That's huge. Some say 14 watts, but I suspect that's in low power mode (not 3D).

Then again, I could be wrong.

It will make a difference, i has an extra 50% more power, which will add around 50% extra time on.

It's essentially the same as sticking 60L of petrol on a tank instead of 40L, obviously you will be able to drive further.
