Just opened my meta app on my phone (having seen it on reddit), and it's just waiting there. 6 months free trial. Can't say I'm excited by the games there are now, but if I understand correctly, even after the subscription ends, should I start it again I get the ones I had got in that 6 months.
 
Haven't been excited by any of the games offered so far.

Don't know what the situation is if you stop and start again later.
 
I've just started it. Current two games aren't interesting, but who knows, there's 5 more months for something to come up. Set up a calendar alert to cancel the subscription.
 
I've only got a 1 month free trial and to be honest I already have most of the games I want and it's unlikely they will add ones I don't already have.

If you stop subscribing you lose access to the games you've claimed but if you resubscribe you get them back.

The thing is you must manually 'get' the free games on the store when they become available. They're not added to your library automatically.
 
Just saw this on hotukdeals - seems you need to make sure you update the app for it to appear. Little bit annoying that this was one of the 512GB Q3 pre order perks but now anyone can have it 2 months later!

That's just the same as playstation, such a BS way to do it, number of things I've missed out on because I didn't add it to my library :rolleyes:

Maybe they only had a limited number to offer. Glad I jumped on it quick. Can't complain at free, and if app sharing works on them, my boy might enjoy angry birds, and maybe something else good will come up.
 
There's suspicions on Reddit that it was a screw up. Quest 3 512gb buyers got it free on purchase, someone suspects it got activated on the 128gb headsets too, apparently not available now. Glad I grabbed it when I did, hopefully there'll be something I actually want, but like I said, my boy can use the games on his q2 through app sharing anyway.
