As the title says I have about £60 to spend on a new graphics card however I currently have the XFX 4850 512mb. Would it be wise to invest in a new card or keep my current one? Thanks

The GT 730 is slower than your 4850. Honestly, you won't get anything new for that price that would be worth buying, exceptional one-off deals aside. The used market should net you a nice upgrade though. Something like a 7850 or 7870 on the AMD side, or a GTX 660 from Nvidia. I personally went from a 4870 to a 7850 a few years ago and it was a very nice upgrade.

if you can wait 3 weeks untill 29th june, you would be able to get the new card from AMD 450 or 460, the cutdown polais 11 should be at 60-80£ with significant performance boost.
or at least you should see quite the price drop for 2nd hand market when the new line up is released.

this - without a doubt.......the 730 is a terrible card specially with Polaris 11 just about to hit...

I'm in the same boat and waiting for the new releases expected soon to knock down the used prices

Any recommendations on a better one? And what's wrong with that one?
Its numbers are meaningless for the most part. Comparing paper specs and synthetic benchmarks rather than actual gaming performance. Anandtech's bench section compares performance in actual games as a better example.

It's broken into years though and they don't test every card again each time, so might not be able to compare the two cards you want directly.

What is the rest of your rig like? What games do you play / want to play?
What PSU do you have? What case do you have?

There is no point getting a powerful card if your system isn't somewhat balanced.
It also needs to fit in your case and your PSU needs to be powerful enough to power it.
