Hi Guys,

Looking to replace my Corsair K95 as it just too big for my desk and I don't make use of the macro keys and rarely use the number pad.

Can anyone recommend a 60% keyboard, mechanical with backlights £100 ish or less if possible?

Cooler master masterkey look alright?

I have an Ozone Strike Battle keyboard I bought a couple of years ago and I love it. I have a more expensive Corsair Strafe RGB but for the money I prefer the Ozone.

They are available for about £60 if you look about.

Coolermaster QuickFire TK (or its replacement). Haven't had anything bad to say since I bought it. Heavy, no thrills, sturdy, strong feet, no software, good lighting, bit worried about the flimsy micro-usb cable connector, but it's been solid so far.

EDIT : yeah, it's basically the MasterKey Pro M with MX Brown (and white lighting). Only gripe is in 'numpad' mode, it is a little weird but no biggie. masterkey Pro S is bascially the same, cleaner, without the numpad functionality. Paid £75 at the time (IIRC, but well under £100).

Is it definitely a 60% board that you are looking for? as the one you mentioned is a tenkeyless board which tend to have 88 keys for uk layout and a 60% board will have 61 keys like the one mentioned above

if you want a good 60% keyboard you may want to take a look at the anne pro, its a chinese keyboard, but uses gateron brown/blue/red switches which are very similar to the cherry variants that they are based on but tend to be a lot smoother which makes me prefer them personally

Thanks for the recommendations guys will check them all out!

Vortex one looks nice but a bit out of my budget.

I didn't actually realize there was 60% and tenkeyless options but will definitely look into both and see which I'd prefer. I think the smaller the better as desk space is the limiting factor at the moment!

Corsair got quality feel, but mechanical keyboards can irritate people around you. They are quite noisy

Depends on your switch type and typing style. Someone who's fingers flow over a keyboard like water will be as quiet as someone on a membrane. especially with a MX Silent or noise dampeners. Mostly it's blue switches that give mech KB's this abd rep so if you stay away from them you'll find they aren't that much noisier than a membrane board :)

According to my missus I am using fists to type it.
